We are working with a mainstream primary school in Gravesend who are looking to recruit a qualified Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 3 who has Autism and Behavioural Difficulties. The child is being transferred to a SEN schools and they are looking for a TA to support them in their transition. The position is to begin in September and can go permanent for the right candidate. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30.The role will consist of supporting the child 1:1 in all lessons and with all aspects of their learning throughout the day and ensuring that their behaviour is managed effectively. Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum is essential.
Your key duties will be to help with the differentiation of activities and interventions for the child, follow the child to all of their lessons and support them where necessary. You will also need to implement effective behaviour management strategies and any other duties allocated to you by the child’s Teachers.It is essential that you are at least L2 qualified as a Teaching Assistant and enjoy working with children with additional needs. You will need to have experience of working in a school environment before.
You will be rewarded with excellent rates of pay which will be £60 per day.
