Teaching support are excited to be working with an SEN school in Greenwich who are looking to recruit a number of Learning Support Mentors to start throughout January and February.
The school supports students from KS1 – KS4 with EBD/SEBD, with roles to cover a variety of different Key Stages. The environment is outstanding, and the senior leadership team look to promote staff members that work hard and make a lasting positive impact on their student’s lives.

The positions will start on a temporary basis with the option of going permanent after a number of weeks working with the academy through Teaching Support.
Candidates with a support work background, or having worked in a prison environment will also be considered for the posts. If it preferable that you have worked within a school or PRU setting within the past 24 months.
The rate of pay ranges between £75 and £80 per day for the right candidate.
Experience of supporting children/young adults with challenging behaviour.
A keen understanding of being able to create bonds with students that have had challenging backgrounds and to be able to quickly build trust.
Experience supporting students within SEN school’s or candidates with a mental health support background would be strong candidates.
Being of a kind, caring and firm when necessary nature.
Any experience of restraint training is advantageous but not necessary. Training on Team-Teach will be provided.
Solid knowledge and experience supporting students with various traits of ASD is also advantageous.
